BOWERS, Emma Louise

Emma Louise Bowles Bowers, 76, of Hopkins St. in Narrows, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Ohley, WV on March 12, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Wamon William and Emma Mae Kirk Bowles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis David Bowers, and her brothers Billy, Danny, William Bo, and Charles Bowles.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law David and Cindy Shrader Bowers of Narrows; her daughters and son-in-law Connie and Rodney Jamison of Pembroke and Darlene and Jubal Powell of Pembroke; her grandchildren Shana Bowers, Tara Bowers, Jacob Bowers, Anthony Denson, Ashley Jamison, Dewayne Powell, Derrick Powell, Jamie Powell ; her six great-grandchildren; her brothers Walter, James and Roger Bowles; her sisters Martha Simmons and Loretta Bowles; her many special nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and sister-in-law Shirley Bowers.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 pm before the services.
