Conley, Betty Buchanan

Betty Buchanan Conley, 83 of Hickory, North Carolina, formerly of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. She was born in Narrows on August 25th, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Arie and Annie Shrader Buchanan.  In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Clifford Conley; a daughter, Judy Kay Conley; a sister, Claris Hager; and a brother, Benny Buchanan. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Gary Conley and wife Connie of Lashmeet, West Virginia; a daughter, Anna Alderman and husband Elden of Hickory, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Shelly Boggess and husband Billy, Ricky Conley and wife Libby, Kristan Welton and husband Joey, Brandon Alderman and wife Jessica, Cheryl Young and Joe Backus ­­, Chasity Worley and husband Rick; twelve great-grandchildren, Jessie Boggess, Dusty Boggess, Riley Boggess, Morgan Conley, Madison Conley, Logan Conley, Blaize Hopkins, Brandon Alderman, Jr, London Taylor, Alec Taylor, Kendall Worley, Tinley Worley; one great-great granddaughter, Skylar Stowers; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17th, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating.  Burial will follow in the Conley Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community near Narrows.  The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Friday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
