ABRAMS, Linda Ratcliff

Linda Ratcliff Abrams, 69, of Pfafftown, NC, passed away on May 12, 2015, due to complications after chemotherapy related to recent Breast Cancer diagnosis. The visitation and funeral services will be Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, VA, with Eddie Kendall of Bethel Chapel officiating. Visitation will be held at 12-2 pm with services beginning at 2 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, VA, (http://kendallfuneralhome.com). Linda was born in Pearisburg, VA, on July 30, 1945. She graduated from Giles High School and continued on to receive an Associate’s degree from National Business College in Roanoke, VA. Linda was married to Walter on March 11, 1967. They were happily married for 48 years. Linda worked as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker and then Abrams Realty, LLC, for 15 years collectively. She enjoyed sports of all kinds and gardening. She was also actively involved in numerous organizations and charities. Linda is survived by her husband, Walter, daughters, Christi Abrams and Susan Merrill, son-in-law, Steve Merrill, and grand puppies, Una, Toby, and Lily. She is also survived by her brother Larry Ratcliff, sister-in-law, Jean Ratcliff, and nieces, Kimberly and Lauren Ratcliff, sister-in-law, Virginia Ratcliff, and nephews, Timmy, Kevin and Joey Ratcliff. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Ratcliff, and brothers, Dennis and Jeffrey.
