CAROL JEAN JEYS, 68, of the Trigg community near Pearisburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her home. She was born January 16, 1947 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of the late Andrew Paul & Hazel Beatrice Stafford Higginbotham. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and the queen of the Luscious Red Hatters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk Douglas Jeys, Sr. and her brother Andy Higginbotham. Left to cherish her memory is her son & daughter-in-law, Kirk Jr. & Christina Jeys, Chesapeake; her daughters & sons-in-law, Anita & Harold Taylor, Chesapeake, and Shannon Bates & fiancé Bobby Quesenberry, Pearisburg; 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Brittany, Michael, D.J., Summer, Joshua, Jacob, Robbie, Tyler and Anthony; 1 great-granddaughter, Hanna; a brother & sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Kathleen Higginbotham, Narrows and Teresa Higginbotham; and one sister, Sherry Higginbotham, N.C. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Magnolia Meadows Cemetery, 559 Springdale Rd, Trigg, with Bishop Sam Chupp & Rev. Shaun Wilburn officiating.
