HAVENS, William Andrew

William Andrew Havens, 93 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home.  Mr. Havens was born on December 31, 1921 in Pearisburg and was a son of the late James Walker Havens and Myrtle Robertson Havens.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lillian Butler Havens, 5 brothers, Pete, Ed, Joe, Walter, Gene and 1 sister, Geneva.  Mr. Havens was a retired auto mechanic from the Virginia Ford Garage in Pearisburg and was a longtime member of the Pearisburg Volunteer Fire Department with over 50 years service.  He is survived by three brothers; Marvin C. Havens of Pearisburg, John C. Havens of Warrington, Robert Lee Havens of Pearisburg, one sister, Mildred Robertson of Pearisburg and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11am at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.  The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
