David Ira Clark, 83, of Narrows, Va., died Monday afternoon, February 28, 1972 in a Narrows nursing home, following a long illness. Born in Bland County, Va., he was a son of the late John and Martha French Clark. Surviving are four sons, Ezra Clark, Carl Clark, Wesley Clark of Narrows, Va. and Hobert Clark of Ballard, W. Va. one daughter, Mrs. Daniel Hare of Narrows, Va.; two brothers, Luther Clark and Dotson Clark of Rt. 2, Narrows, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Williams Chapel Church of Christ at Rt. 2, Narrows with Roy L. Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery at Rt. 2 Narrows. Palbearers will be Leon Clark, David F. Clark, Gerry Clark, Mike Clark, Donnie Hare and John Clark all grandchildren of the deceased. Friends may call at Riffe’s Funeral Home in Narrows from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
