SNIDOW, Frances Wooldridge

Frances Wooldridge Snidow, 93, of Staffordsville, in Giles County, departed this life Monday morning, September 7, 2015 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Madison Heights on January 1, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Ted Thaddeus and Gracie Selma Cash Wooldridge. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Oscar Brown Snidow, her husband for 72 years. She was always joyful, full of laughter, loved to cook and can vegetables and fruits, loved flowers and people, cherished and loved her family, and loved to talk. She was also preceded in death by a son John O. Snidow, her sister Margaret Snidow and her brothers Rennie Wooldridge and Raymond Wooldridge. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Larry L. Snidow of Pembroke; her daughter Nancy L. Trent of Lynchburg; her daughter-in-law Bonnie S. Snidow of Staffordsville; her grandchildren Tammy Quesenberry and husband Greg of McCoy, Wendy Snidow of Raleigh, NC, Diana Trent of Lynchburg, Cheryl Croft and husband Bernie of Goode, Samantha Snidow of Staffordsville; her great-grandchildren Ashely Croft, Karrie Ann Quesenberry, and David Quesenberry, and her sister Madeline Murray of Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. The family sends a special thanks to Barbara Meredith, Judie Powell, and the staff of Heritage Hall in Blacksburg.
