GILES, William Michael (Mike)

William (Mike) Michael Giles, 61 of Floyd, VA passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA after a six year battle with lymphoma cancer. Mr. Giles was born on October 2, 1954 in Pearisburg, VA and was a son of Margaret Ella Martin Giles of Floyd and the late William McKenley Giles. Mike graduated from Groveton High School in Alexandria, VA and lived and worked in Tampa, FL and Washington, DC. Besides his mother, his is survived by his sister Carol, brother Ronald E. Giles and his wife Mary and a daughter, Angela Marie along with several cousins and aunts. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the Givens Funeral Chapel at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Dr. Fred L. Austin officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Home one hour before the service from 11 – 12.
