Judith Caldwell Frazier (Judy), 73, of Rich Creek, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, July 2nd, 2015. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on February 11th, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Peck Caldwell and Frances Shumate Caldwell. She was raised in Glen Lyn, and was a 1960 graduate of Narrows High School where she met her husband.  Judy was a retired employee of Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek with 29 years of service.  If one thing is known about Judy, it is that she knew how to cook. She enjoyed quilting, a good cup of hot tea, and Christmas, but thoroughly enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren as a Narrows Green Wave and Christiansburg Blue Demon fan.  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Rich Creek, and served with the American Legion Post #68 Ladies Auxiliary, where she would work bingo games and help with local events. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Douglas M. Frazier; a son, Stephen Frazier of Christiansburg; a daughter, Laura Wills and husband Paul of Christiansburg.  She has four grandchildren, Kandice Whittaker and husband Mac of Narrows, Stephen Wills, Seth Wills, and Spencer Frazier, all of Christiansburg. She is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Caldwell and wife Linda of Etowah, Tennessee, Danny Caldwell of Christiansburg, a sister, Ellie O’Conner of Bloomington, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Her husband Doug, children Laura and Steve, along with her friends and family were there for her throughout her illness, along with the caregivers at Heritage Hall, English Meadows, and Good Samaritan Hospice. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Rich Creek on Sunday, July 5th, at 4 PM with Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek.  The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.  The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider First Baptist Church; P.O. Box 307; Rich Creek, Virginia 24147. The family is being served by Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
