Ould, Violet Virginia Buck

Violet Virginia Buck Ould, 86, of Glen Lyn, passed away on Sunday, February 8th, 2015.

She was born in Blacksburg, Virginia on January 10th, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Arlena Jane Duncan Buck. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Richard Ould, Sr., and a son, Thomas Richard (Rick) Ould, Jr.

Violet retired from Celanese Acetate in Narrows in 1991 after more than 30 years. Her retirement years were spent mowing and landscaping her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite places to sit and enjoy the mountains was her front porch, where she spent many hours.
She is survived by a sister, Helen Webb, of Oceana, West Virginia; by daughters, PeggyOuld Robertson and husband, George, of Leland, North Carolina, Nancy Ould Whitfield and husband, Steve, of Burlington, North Carolina, Bonnie Ould Lowe and husband, Jim, of Newport News, Virginia, Cathy Ould of Princeton, and a son, Bill Ould of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Thursday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
