WEISS, Donald Eugene

Donald Eugene Weiss, 70, of Hill Avenue in Pembroke, and Orlando, FL, departed this life Saturday evening, September 19, 2015 at his home in Pembroke. Born in Pembroke, VA on December 9, 1944, he was a son of the late Robert D. and Jane Selleck Weiss. Donald was involved in the moving business having logged over a million miles on the road, was a veteran of the U S Army, an alumnus of Giles High School, for many years a member of the Moose Lodge, and The American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Walter Weiss, and his wife Mildred Smith Weiss. He leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Gudfridur Sigursteinsdottir (Frieda) of Orlando, Florida, his devoted caregiver Jessica Midkiff of Pembroke, VA, his special cousin Diane Selleck, and several other cousins. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 am at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA.
