Clark, Ballard Wesley

NARROWS, Va. – Ballard Wesley Clark, 77 of Narrows, died Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at the Riverview Nursing Home, Rich Creek, VA. Born January 4, 1924, in Bland County, VA., he was the son of the late David Ira and Viola French Clark. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of the Celanese Plant at Narrows after 45 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Jerry Leslie Clark and Ruby Diana Clark; and a brother, Carl Clark. He is survived by his wife, Mildred M. Clark of Narrows; two sons, John Calvin Clark of Riner, VA. and Gerry Wesley Clark of Pearisburg, VA.; a daughter, Barbara Carol Taylor of Roanoke, VA.; two brothers, Ezra Clark of Narrows and Hobert Clark of Ballard; a sister, Katherine Hare of Narrows; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Dick Brown, minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson Clark Cemetery, on Wolf Creek in Bland County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
