NARROWS, VA. – Ezra Lee Clark, 86 of Narrows, died Monday, May 20, 2002 at the Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. He was born May 1, 1916, in Bland County, Va., and was the son of the late David Ira and Viola French Clark. He was a veteran of World War II and was a P.O.W. for 191 days having been captured by the German Army near Belgium. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Narrows, and the Angel’s Rest Lodge No. 153 I.O.O.F. Pearisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margarette Shrader Clark; two brothers, Carl Clark and Wesley Clark. He is survived by four sons, Richard Leon Clark and wife Georgia of Decatur, Ill., David Larry Clark and wife Gayle of Narrows, Kevin Lee Clark of Pembroke, Va., and Dale Niece Clark of Blacksburg, Va.; a brother, Hobert Clark of Ballard; a sister, Katherine Hare of Narrows; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Darrell Hunley officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson Clark Cemetery on Wolf Creek in Bland County with graveside rites conducted by Angel’s Rest Lodge No. 153. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
